40th Anniversary of Total Asphalt Paving!
Tuesday, September 27, 2022For 40 years, we have been proudly serving Oakland County, Macomb County, and the surrounding communities with all of their residential and commercial asphalt needs. Total Asphalt was started in 1982 by father and son Don and Ben Daveluy. They combined over 40 years of experience when they started the company, so they knew how to grow it into the success it would become. From the moment we began paving, we’ve known at least one thing to be sure – if you provide good, quality work to your customers, your company will grow. So, that’s what we’ve done and that’s how we’ve stuck around for the past four decades! We had a pretty good year in 2021, so we’d like to celebrate some of our accomplishments as we head into our fifth decade in business.
Best Metro Detroit Paving Contractor 2021 & BUILD Trade Integrity Excellence Award 2021
We are incredibly proud to receive not one, but two business awards in 2021! We were determined to be the Best Metro Detroit Paving Contractor in 2021, and we received the BUILD Trade Integrity Excellence Award in 2021 as well. The awards are decided by a judging panel that uses case files that are compiled by researchers who use merit-oriented research to build a picture of the work each company does. The panel reviewed many case files, but ultimately determined that Total Asphalt Paving stuck out as the very best. We’re very appreciative of this honor!
Macomb County Business Award Nominee
For the 7th Annual Macomb Business Awards in 2021, we were nominated in the Hidden Gem category! This category is made up of small businesses with 1-50 employees who offer unique “made in Macomb” products or services. The point is to highlight small, local businesses that the community would benefit from trying out. Yet another great honor to receive!
New Ownership
In 2017, Bob Oliver purchased Total Asphalt Paving and took over as the owner. Bob has continued to uphold our core value of always offering high-quality work to every customer and letting our work speak for itself. Because of this, we’ve continued to enjoy repeat customers and the loyalty that we’ve built our business on. Bob has tons of experience in the asphalt industry, working since 1985 to gain experience in building and estimating jobs. This wealth of experience has given him the knowledge necessary to be able to come up with creative problem-solving solutions for issues that would otherwise derail projects.

A milestone like this is something that deserves celebration. We’re proud of the work we’ve put in to get here, but we also know that you deserve appreciation too.
